Bladderwrack is a cold to temperate water species found on both North Atlantic Coasts, the North Sea, and the western Baltic Sea. Fucus plays an especially important role in the Baltic, where it's the only large, brown algae that naturally occurs there and the predominate canopy species.Bladderwrack is the brown, seaweed harvested from cool ocean waters. It is recognized by its air filled thalli (bladders) which keep the plant afloat.
