Cramp bark, known as King's Crown or May Rose, orginated in Scotland and England and now naturalized in United States and Canada. This bark is taken from the guelder-rose or guelder rose is a species of flowering plant in the family Adoxaceae.
As drived from the name, Cramp bark is used to help relieving cramps, including muscle spasms, menstrual cramps, and cramps during pregnancy. Cramp bark is also used as a kidney stimulant due to urinary conditions that involve pain or spasms.
